We last hosted a rock and gem show in October of 2019 back when we were known as The Crystal Connection. Our first show was much smaller with only a few vendors, but we had a blast with a great turnout! We had local vendors and vendors from other states. We also had rock painting, a rock flume, fossil dig and fairy house building.
Last year, we had a great weekend of rocks, jewelry and so much more! We had fantastic vendors and happy attendees. We had food on site from Saxon Bakery & Catering. We are so thankful for all of our vendors and event attendees!
In 2022, the Rocktober Rock and Gem show took over the old Big Lots store space. We had the largest selection of vendors yet and met a lot of new faces! We added in a couple of intuitive readers as well as had a real fairy in our midst too.
Sadly, in 2023 we did not have a Rocktober Rock & Gem Show. We were prepping for our move to a bigger and better storefront for Minerals & Mystics. We didn't move far and are still in Seminole Square Shopping Center, but boy, was it a lot of work!
Minerals & Mystics opened August 2020 after originally being The Crystal Connection since 1987. The manager at the time, Leah Williams, purchased the business after working for The Crystal Connection for 17 years. ✨ Minerals & Mystics is a specialty shop focused on educating and empowering anyone interested in rocks, crystals, jewelry, and much more. 💎
Minerals & Mystics is committed to bringing you a diverse, hand-selected and ethically curated selection of minerals, crystals and sterling silver jewelry.
Leah Williams started working for The Crystal Connection as a senior in high school in 2003. She was hired as a temporary jewelry cleaner. After that first Christmas season, it was clear that this would not be a temporary job. Leah dove into all aspects and found her passion in small business, retail but more importantly all things rocks
